Apollo Soccer Club

Just letting everybody know that pre season training is well under way. Training night are Tuesday and Friday starting from 6pm. If you forget when its on their is a reminder on the upcoming events tab on the right of the website. It would be good to see you all there and remember to bring your blue tops, white shorts, white socks  and running shoes.

After going through the season with conceeding only 8 goals in the premiership, our reserves were looking favourites for Sunday and we proved why too. For most of the game, Apollo's reserves dominated the flow of the game but the first goal didn't come of our boot, nor anyone's boot. It came off of Central's Geoff O'Loughlin's head and past Eddie Sakkers. Stewart Wallace played in the reserves as he had to head off to Sydney that afternoon for trade school, and wouldn't partake in the seniors...

Andrew Donehue, owner of Donehue's Leisure Mount Gambier, and son, Jack, who's a current Apollo under 10 and 12's player would like to wish all Apollo players a good luck for the grand final on Sunday. They're in Queensland at the moment and won't be back until next Wednesday so Andrew will also miss Mad Monday - unlucky!

Tonight, Apollo seniors will be training at West. Everyone is to meet at Apollo at 5.30 per usual, but then we'll move on to West. Wear appropriate training attire.

We would like to wish all teams the very best for the finals this Sunday. Everyone is welcome to come back to Webb St after the games for a few drinks and nibbles. The canteen is having the night off and we will do takeaway teas.

Apollo Soccer Club would like to congratulate Zoe and Miffy on the arrival of Ruby Ella Pohlner. We'll try and sneak her into the A grade!
